What is a Panographic X-Ray?
Panographic x-rays provide a complete view of your mouth and supply crucial information about the position of your wisdom teeth, abscesses, signs of jaw-joint problems, sinus problems, and receding bone levels caused by periodontal disease.
How does it Work?
The x-ray head rotates around your head with the film positioned outside your mouth. You will be asked to wear a lead apron which protects the rest of your body. The amount of radiation exposure is very low.
Why are Panographic X-Rays Important?
This type of x-ray is important because it provides important information so that we can develop an effective treatment plan to meet all your oral surgery needs. You will also be able to better visualize and understand your oral condition.
